Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring linear polysaccharide, widely distributed in human tissues, where it constitutes the major part of the extracellular matrix. It is mostly found in epithelial, connective and neural tissues, and therefore plays important biological roles in tissue such as the skin and the articular cartilage.

Hyaluronic acid, ​an important component of the skin, is a major contributor to the formation of a resilient gel-like ground substance that resists compressive forces. It contributes to tissues' hydrodynamics by creating space for the movement of cells. It is believed to regulate the diffusion of micronutrients, metabolites and hormones between cells, and stimulates fibroblasts migration, proliferation and then collagen production.

Product 

SkinVisc40 is a sterile and non-pyrogenic gel of hyaluronic acid obtained from fermentation in physiological phosphate buffer. This product is available in three syringes of 2 ml.

SkinVisc40 is for single use only and designed to be used with sterile and single use needles (25G or 27G), not supplied in the kit.

2 mL of solution contains 40 mg of hyaluronic acid in phosphate buffer (Sodium chloride, Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, Potassium chloride and water for injection).
