Clinical evidence with Regenkit® A-PRP technology

Androgenetic alopecia

RegenPRP® increases the hair density of patients treated for androgenetic alopecia.1-3

In a prospective study1, 20 patients were treated with RegenPRP® intradermal injections for androgenetic alopecia.

  • Three treatment sessions were performed with an interval of 21 days and a booster session at 6 months following the onset of therapy.
  • Clinical benefits were evaluated in terms of hair density.
Results

There was a significant increase in hair density at 3 months that was still significant at 6 months and one year following treatment as compared to baseline levels (before treatment).

  • Patients were satisfied with the treatment, giving an average score of 7.1 on a scale of 1-10.
  • No (major) adverse effects were noted.

Data from Betsi et al.4 using the hair pull test to measure hair loss in patients treated with RegenPRP® injections every 2 weeks for a total of six sessions. Mean±SEM, ** p<0.01 compared to baseline (BL)

Conclusion

RegenPRP® treatment restores hair loss to normal levels.4

RegenPRP® can be used in combination with other hair restoration modalities (minoxidil, finasteride).2

In a retrospective study, Ho et al.2 evaluated 24 patients receiving injections of RegenPRP.

  • All study patients used topical 5% minoxidil and 83.3% (20/24) used oral antiandrogen medications.
  • The treatment consisted of a monthly injection of PRP for 6 months followed by injections every 3-6 months. Mean trichoscopic measurements throughout the treatment course (average 6 months; range 2-24 months) were compared to baseline measures.
Results
  • A positive response to RegenPRP® was seen in 70.8% (17/24) of patients, as early as 2 months after the initial injections.
  • These results demonstrate real-world outcomes and help patients to make informed decisions when choosing treatment options for hair loss.
Conclusion

RegenPRP® promotes the regeneration of the hair bulb by increasing the blood supply and enhancing follicular cell proliferation, resulting in stronger, denser, and richer hair.1-4
